Andy Prior was born in Grand Prairie, Texas, but spent 8 of his first 16 years living

with his family in China and Japan. Upon his return, he started his first business while still a Junior in high school. After graduation, he attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where he paid his own way. In his spare time, he studied the markets and planned his next series of businesses. While attempting to launch his second business, he left school and he began to invest using a small inheritance from his grandmother, right at the bubble's top in April of 2000. Over the course of the next year, he managed to just break even, but after being the victim of an unwelcome takeover at his third business, he was forced to liquidate over 80% of his holdings in order to extract himself from his former partner's mess. At which point he also changed his investment decision making process and placed all of his remaining money in OfficeMax. After less than 2 years he finally sold for a nearly 50% gain, approximately 22% annually. His original plan had been to hold for 5 years and if he had done so, he could have sold out only 8 months later, for an additional 70%, when they were bought out. Finally, in the fall of 2003 he began to invest a small sum of his mom's money and after some initial success, decided to launch his fourth business, Investing With Mom. In his spare time, Andy can be found running and coaching. Most Saturdays he is to be found at a road race or a track meet and he runs additional races throughout the week, as he is always looking to run or coach.

Polly M. Prior born was in Baltimore, Maryland. She received her education at

Towson State Teachers College in Maryland, Wheaton College in Illinois, and The University of Texas at Arlington. She taught first and second grades in Baltimore, and fifth and sixth grades in Dallas, Texas. Then she taught education course at Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham, Alabama. She helped in Bible Translation among the Popoloca indigenous peoples in Mexico under the guidance of Wycliffe Bible Translators and later taught English as a second language in various universities in China and Japan. She has written and self-published several books. Her most recent book is "Whose Wife Are You?". Mrs. Prior has two grown sons and presently resides in Arlington, Texas.
